The Dao (Tao), one of the most prominent school of thoughts originated in ancient China. It refers to the way of the universe, in which all living creatures should live and coexist in harmony.

The circular shape symbolizes harmony and earth while the blue and brown abstract blends accentuates the concept of the universe, resonating with the implication of the Chinese character.

This work is also the artist minimalist approach to interpret classical Chinese thoughts with calligraphy. This pieces is part of the artist’s Art Vancouver collection this year.
